The School Day

Timings are the same for all classes from Reception to Year 6.  Lessons start: 8.50am and end 3.20pm

Gates open at 8.40am and close at 8.50am.  Lessons start at 8:50am.  If your child arrives after 9am, they will be marked late.

Total weekly hours of compulsory school time:  32.5 hours per week

Morning playtimes:

Years 1 and Year 2: 10.30 -10.45 am;

Years 3 and Year 4: 10.15 - 10.30am;

Years 5 and Year 6: 10.35 -10.50am

Our Early Years run a continuous provision, so do not have a set playtime.

Lunchtime

All of the children, from Reception to Year 6, have a lunch break of 60 minutes.  The classes have phased lunches, with different year groups to allow children to socialise and engage with those both younger and older than them.  The phased lunch hour also means all classes enjoy a quieter and calmer lunch hall and outside playtime.

Drop off and collection

At the start of the school day, children come into school at 8.50am using either the EYFS/Year 1 gate, the Year 2/Year 3 gate, or the Years 4/5/6 gate.

The children use the same gates at the end of the school day, which ends for all children at 3.20pm.

If normal arrangements have to be altered (e.g. you are delayed or another person is collecting your child), please let us know as soon as possible.  This avoids any confusion or upset.

Nursery:

Our Nursery starts at 9am and finishes at 3pm for full-time pupils. Morning pupils start at 9am and finish at 12 noon.  Afternoon pupils start at 12.30pm and finish at 3.30pm.
