We hope that you all had a great week, which was officially the first week of the summer term, and managed to complete all of your work. We started some new science and geography topics which we hope you have enjoyed and will continue to lenjoy over the next few weeks. Thank you again for all of the wonderful work, photos, videos and kind messages you have been sending us. We miss you all so much and really hope that you are continuing to stay safe.
Please remember to ask your parent/carer to help you sign into 'Showbie' as this is the new platform that we will be using in the coming weeks for our school work, rather than our school website.

Reading - Last week was the anniversary of the Titanic sinking (15th April), read and complete the comprehension task about 'The Unsinkable Ship'.
Writing - Write a diary entry about the last 3 weeks of being at home (or at school).
Science - Play the 'Living Things' game. Can you complete the life cycle of the plant and frog?
RE- Complete the Liturgies of Easter booklet (this can be completed over the next few weeks, we do not expect you to complete it all today!).

Maths - Week 2, Lesson 1 - rounding decimals on White Rose Hub.
Reading - Read through Chapter 8 of Harry Potter & the Philosopher's Stone then answer the questions.
Writing - Write a letter, as if you were Harry Potter, to Hagrid about Harry's first day at Hogwarts. Remember to include what he has loved and what he hasn't so much enjoyed.
RE - Design a poster telling everyone that 'Jesus is Risen!'
PE - Choose one one of the following, and get active with one of their Youtube videos: Joe Wickes, Just Dance or Go Noodle.
Have a read of the following BBC Bitesize webpage and become a metaphors and simile expert: https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/zkygrj6 . Now you are going to write a letter, as if you are Harry Potter, to Hagrid about his first couple of days at Hogwarts, making sure to include his lessons, friends and the sorting hat.
Our homework for the next two weeks will be slightly different. It will be linked to the theme of Easter and Harry Potter - It will be more project based. We do ask that you finish off our Benin Kingdom work and writing about Holy Week in detail.
Over the next 2 weeks, we would like you to read some of Harry Potter & the Philosopher's Stone (in America they call it Harry Potter & the Sorcerer's Stone). We would like you to read up until Chapter 8,so stop at page 115. We will continue with the rest of the book after the Easter holidays.
You then have a few options for project based work that we'd like you to complete. Please choose something to work on from the choices, and feel free to choose more than one!

Watch the video for the lesson of the day, then complete the 'Get the Activity' sheet using the knowledge that you have learnt. After that is done, please click the 'Get the Answers' page, so that you can mark and correct your answers. Please follow this schedule, don't go ahead as we will be continuing after the Easter holidays.
Over the next 2 weeks, complete week 1- lesson 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 within your own time. Those are the following lessons:

Writing- Write in detail about the events that took place whilst Jesus was in the Garden of Gethsemane. Use the structure below to help you with your writing.
Paragraph 1: Who went to The Garden of Gethsemane and why?
Paragraph 2: Whilst in the garden, Jesus wanted to.... He asked his Disciples to .... Jesus said to God...
Paragraph 3: Judas and the Soldiers come to the garden. Why? What happens? Include how Judas gave Jesus away and what happened to the High Priest's Servant's ear.
Paragraph 4: Where was Jesus taken? What happened to his Disciples?
