Academisation Consultation

Welcome to the dedicated consultation page for St Mary’s Priory Infant and Junior Schools.  We are embarking on a thoughtful period of reflection and dialogue regarding the potential academisation of our schools and the possibility of joining Lux Mundi Catholic Academy Trust, a well-established and growing Catholic educational community.

Why Academisation?

In the context of an ever-evolving educational landscape, schools across the UK face a range of challenges, including:

  • Falling pupil numbers

  • Increased financial pressures

  • Rising curriculum demands

It is essential that we proactively address these challenges to secure the long-term success and sustainability of our schools, ensuring the best outcomes for all pupils.

The Opportunity of Joining Lux Mundi Catholic Academy Trust

By joining a wider family of Catholic schools within the Lux Mundi Catholic Academy Trust, we have the opportunity to:

  • Strengthen our Catholic mission and identity

  • Collaborate with like-minded communities that share our values and vision

  • Enhance the quality of Catholic education and pastoral care

  • Benefit from shared resources, expertise and support networks

  • Protect and enrich the spiritual, academic, and social development of our pupils

Our Commitment to Stakeholders

Please be assured that this proposal is not made lightly. It arises from a deep sense of care and responsibility towards our children, families, and staff. The leadership of St Mary’s Priory Infant and Junior Schools is fully committed to ensuring that any decision made will be in the best interests of our community, present and future.

The Consultation Process
