Pupil Leadership and Chaplaincy Team
"Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."
At St Mary's Priory, our Catholic mission inspires us to follow the example of Jesus by serving others, caring for creation and living out our faith each day. Through a range of leadership opportunities, our children use their gifts and talents to make a positive difference in our school and wider community.
Together, our pupil leaders help to make St Mary's Priory a caring, prayerful and active community, bringing our Catholic values to life through their words and actions.
Mini Vinnies
"Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me."
Matthew 25:40
Our Mini Vinnies put their faith into action through prayer, service and charity. Following the motto 'See, Think, Do', they identify ways to help others, organise fundraising activities and support those in need, showing that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference.
Prayer Leaders
"Lord, teach us to pray."
Luke 11:1
Our Prayer Leaders support the prayer life of the school by helping to prepare and lead worship, creating prayer spaces and encouraging opportunities for reflection. They help others to grow in faith and deepen their relationship with God.

Eco-Leaders
"The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it."
Genesis 2:15
Our Eco-Leaders promote care for God's creation by encouraging sustainable choices and leading environmental projects around the school. Inspired by Catholic Social Teaching, they help us to be responsible stewards of our common home.
Altar Servers
"Here I am, Lord."
Isaiah 6:8
Our Altar Servers support the priest during Mass and other liturgical celebrations. Through their service, they lead by example, showing reverence, commitment and a willingness to use their gifts in service of God and the school community.
House Captains and Vice Captains
“Let your light shine before others.”
Matthew 5:16
Our House Captains and Vice Captains are pupil leaders who encourage and inspire the children in their houses. Guided by the example of our House Saints, they help others to live out our values of respect, compassion, resilience and ambition, lead by example and build a strong sense of belonging across our school family.
School Councillors
“Let each of you look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.”
Philippians 2:4
Our School Councillors are the voice of their classmates. They listen, share ideas and work together to make our school an even better place for everyone, showing respect, compassion and responsibility and working for the common good.
Play Leaders
“Encourage one another and build each other up.”
1 Thessalonians 5:11
Our Play Leaders help to make playtimes happy, active and inclusive for everyone. They lead games, encourage children to join in and look out for others, showing respect, compassion and responsibility. Through their leadership, they help to build a school community where everyone feels welcome, valued and that they belong.
